New primer design tool to identify novel splice isoforms
using the Splicist Library Panels
SAN CLEMENTE, CA - December, 2009 - Genofi
announces the release of RefSplice primer design tool
to assist in identifying novel splice variants using the Splicist
Human Library Panels. This free web interface tool allows
researchers to select experimental strategies and design primers
utilizing alternative splice data from RefSeq, NCBI's non-redundant
set of highly-curated reference sequences. The graphic user
interface displays an aligned exon-map of all the splice variants
for a given gene of interest, providing a comprehensive overview
and allowing the user to directly select the exon sequences
for primer design via Primer3.
