New primer design tool to identify novel splice isoforms using the Splicist™ Library Panels

SAN CLEMENTE, CA - December, 2009 - Genofi announces the release of RefSplice™ primer design tool to assist in identifying novel splice variants using the Splicist™ Human Library Panels. This free web interface tool allows researchers to select experimental strategies and design primers utilizing alternative splice data from RefSeq, NCBI's non-redundant set of highly-curated reference sequences. The graphic user interface displays an aligned exon-map of all the splice variants for a given gene of interest, providing a comprehensive overview and allowing the user to directly select the exon sequences for primer design via Primer3.
